A Request
Hi, everybody. “Van Cliburn Punched Me in the Mouth” remains closed, at least for now. Nonetheless, I want to reach out to all who have come onboard as subscribers. To be blunt, I need a little help.
From the start, I was adamant that all subscriptions would be free, because I wanted this record of my work to be available to any and all. So I was flattered — touched, actually — to receive pledges despite my promise of free access.
Unfortunately, circumstances compel me to reach out to you with this request. In recent months, I’ve suffered some financial setbacks that have eaten dramatically into my savings. I can describe them in more detail if you want me to via personal message, but suffice it to say here that an unprecedented depletion of my assets has forced me to look for some help.
And so I’m asking those who offered pledges during the life of this project if they might be able to honor those pledges at this point. Believe me, it’s not an easy thing to ask; it’s kind of humiliating, to be honest. Best I can offer in return is my thanks, my guarantee that this will be my only such request and my promise that if/when I feel able to get back to work on this, you’ll know about it.
If you like, please message me here in the comments section or via email at MusicCityScribe@gmail.com. Many thanks for the interest you’ve shown. Carry on, my friends.

I don’t recall if I made a pledge previously, hell, I don’t remember what I ate for breakfast - lol. Let me know how, where, etc. and I’ll be glad to contribute something. I have enjoyed reading your interviews.
